I sat silhouette under a red street light
Close to daylight on my motor bike
And my weight wasn’t enough to make the signal change
So I sat for a single minute and thought about my day
But all I really wanted to do was go straight
And it threw me into such a miniature fit of rage
That someone else had control over decisions I make
And the time spent there waiting for the light to change shades
I can’t remember how long I’ve been this way
I don’t believe in god like that but I’ve got faith in fate
I’ve been trying to learn patience but I’m afraid it’ll have to wait
When I get home I’m gonna roll myself a joint
It’s been a long day of work and I’m a tired, tired boy
This bag I got don’t cost me but a coin
But then again it’s not hard to think ya man, what’s the point
It’s such a waste of money
Aw but money’s such a waste
Of our time
And our taste
Of the priceless things we chase
Of our simple lives and all of our ambition
The light turns green and I’m back to heading north
On an empty street and so on and so forth
And as I turn on my blinker I wonder who it is I’m signaling to
But I’m too distracted to care, cus my day is almost through
